Electricity is power!
On January 24, we took two hours from regular classes for an "in school field trip" to learn about how we use electricity every day. We talked about why it's important to save energy (in the first video below). Then, we held a relay race to learn about how much energy is lost when electricity is made at coal-fired power plans (in the second video below). And we learned how to use some new cool tools that we used to measure energy use in one of the school's classrooms.
There is plenty of great information out there about how energy is used and how we can save electricity! This School House Rock video is one of our favorites...!
